Private College in the Midwest

HEAG was contacted by a private college in the Midwest, which was experiencing significant staffing issues, as they were switching their student information system to Anthology. This institution struggled to find the right resources for their students and were stuck in the costly and time-consuming cycle of hiring, onboarding and training. The lack of leadership caused repeat audit findings citing a lack of internal controls and a lack of documented and up to date policies and procedures, and ultimately the college was placed on Heightened Cash Monitoring.

Rural Community College

HEAG worked with this rural community college for almost two years, until they were fully able to insource the team they needed. At the start of the engagement, the college was facing accreditation problems and difficulties in staffing, while enrollment was increasing and the “Simplified” FAFSA was further delaying processing of student funds. Student satisfaction numbers were low, and leadership needed a solution.

Community College in the Midwest

HEAG’s engagement lasted for almost two years. We provided Full Third-Party Service support and re-implemented the Banner Financial Aid Module. The institution had Title IV compliance deficiencies, inadequate staffing due to turnover and loss of institutional knowledge, minimal written policies, leadership transitions and a general lack of knowledge of regulatory requirements and the technology used to manage the financial aid process.

Public Institution in Massachusetts

HEAG partnered with the institution as a result of significant Financial Aid Office staffing, compliance and technology challenges with the PowerFAIDS and related Jenzabar SIS. We provided a strategic business plan and resources that allowed the college to function throughout reorganization and to re-establish administrative capability.

Private Four-Year University in New Jersey

After the annual audit showed a serious lack of internal controls, as well as constant turnover in FA Office leadership, and a lack of automation in the Ellucian Colleague Financial Module, the university contracted with HEAG to provide Full Third-Party Service support. We established and maintained compliance, efficiency and excellence in service for three years and ended the engagement by hiring and training fully insourced FA office staff.

Private Medical School in California

One of the early users of Jenzabar’s new Financial Aid module (JFA) was a private medical school in California. They contacted us for interim staffing to manage Direct Loan operations, particularly for their non-term academic calendar programs. HEAG upskilled FA staff on managing and processing aid in a non-term, credit hour environment.
