Kim Cox

Kim brings over 30 years of experience in financial aid administration and Title IV compliance. She began her career with the U.S. Department of Education in 1994 as an Institutional Review Specialist, where she conducted program reviews, resolved compliance audits, and evaluated institutional eligibility applications.  After 17 years in that role, Kim was promoted to Branch Chief in the Department’s Dallas regional office. In this leadership position, she oversaw a team of Institutional Review Specialists responsible for monitoring Title IV compliance across more than 500 postsecondary institutions in a five-state region.

Throughout her career, Kim has been involved in many facets of Title IV compliance. Her responsibilities have included helping institutions write and implement policies and procedures, interpreting complex regulatory requirements, supporting the submission of eligibility applications for public, private, and proprietary institutions, and working directly with students and parents to resolve financial aid concerns.

Kim has made lasting contributions to the Department’s compliance efforts. She served on the workgroup that authored a compliance handbook, was selected to train new staff, and has developed and delivered training sessions for institutional leaders nationwide.

Driven by a deep commitment to student success, Kim is passionate about ensuring regulatory compliance to help students access the financial resources they need to achieve their educational goals.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and currently resides in Texas.
