Dr. Takayla Wheatley began her career in the higher education profession in 2013, as a financial aid consultant with DeVry University. Over the next 12 years, she has continued to develop her career in higher education with institutions such as Northwestern University, DePaul University and City Colleges of Chicago in which she has served in financial aid leadership as well as adjunct faculty within the business administration realm. Takayla has developed a passion for working as a financial aid leader, aiding students in financing their education and educating students and families on the dynamics of financial aid. Over the course of the last 12 years, Takayla has advanced her skills in using systems such as Peoplesoft, Jenzabar, Powerfaids, Banner, and also particular functions such as completing return to Title IV calculations, satisfactory academic progress and awarding and disbursements of federal aid. Takayla hopes to continue to develop in her new journey with HEAG and is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with fellow colleagues and clients.
