Traci Singleton worked in higher education for 26 years serving undergraduate, graduate and health professional students. She started in Financial Aid as an Administrative Specialist at The Medical University of SC and ended her career as an Associate Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at The Citadel Military College of SC.

Over the years she performed the following duties: reviewed & processed SAP appeals, completed verification & professional judgements for students; determined eligibility and certified computer-generated applications for Stafford Loans (GSL), parent loans, and supplemental loans to outside lending agencies; determined eligibility for all federal and state grants (PELL, SEOG and State Need Based Grant); awarded academic and athletic scholarships to eligible students; monitored approval and notification of disbursement of funds by the lending agencies; reviewed and updated reports related to the financial aid system; recommended and implemented change in policies and procedures; coordinated and managed the College Work-Study Program; performed monthly reconciliations for the Federal Stafford Loans and Federal Pell Grant programs; supervised Administrative and Support Staff; determined eligibility for the Legislative Incentive for Future Excellence (LIFE) Scholarship, South Carolina HOPE Scholarship and Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. Traci is proficient in Banner and the Department of Education systems.

Traci has served the financial aid community and is a life member of SCASFAA and was also the President, Secretary and Treasurer, a member of SASFAA and NASFAA. She is also active in her community and enjoys giving back by presenting financial aid information for churches, schools, and organizations.
