Revision as of April 10, 2018 from the new Dear Colleague Letter:
On March 23, 2018, the President signed Public Law 115-141, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018. Under this appropriation, the maximum Pell Grant award will increase to $6,095 for the 2018-2019 award year, and the corresponding maximum Pell Grant eligible expected family contribution (EFC) will increase to 5486. The final PDF version of the Pell grant charts can be found here. We have also updated all of the corresponding links at the bottom of this page.
On January 31, 2018, the Department of Education released the latest Pell grant charts for the upcoming award year. The charts are based on level funding. The 2018-2019 award year maximum Pell Grant award will remain at $5,920 and the corresponding maximum Pell Grant eligible expected family contribution (EFC) will remain at 5328.
However, funding levels for next year have not been finalized by Congress yet and these charts maybe out dated when the current government funding ends on February 8, 2018.
