Awaionica has over 10 years of Financial Aid experience in both two-year and four-year public institutions along with four-year private institutions. As a consultant, she supports financial aid offices across the country. She provides Interim Staffing, Consulting and Assessment services to improve business processes strengthen compliance efforts and enhance student satisfaction.
Her previous experience includes Delgado Community College’s Answer Center. The Answer Center is a one stop shop that provides Financial Aid, Admissions, and Registrar services to students. She served as the center’s coordinator providing the ultimate one stop enrollment experience. Awaionica is known for her ability to migrate the challenges of complex verification processes over the years, ensuring that students understand the language. Awaionica also served as a Financial Aid Counselor for Xavier University of Louisiana. She is experienced with several financial aid software systems, including Ellucian Banner, Inceptia, Global Core, ELM Select, and Student Success Navigate (EAB). She is well versed with utilizing the U.S. Department of Education’s suite of applications and website for administering Federal Student Aid such as Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system, the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) and FAA Access. Awaionica received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern University at New Orleans.
